Extended Affiliate Tracking

In this article we would like to give you a short introduction to our extended affiliate tracking and the usage of cookies.

This article might be helpful for experienced users who generate a high number of target pages / landing pages on their own.

Please contact our technical support for the assistance in the initial setup of this function.

To generate affiliate links, our vendors can use our features "Marketplace" or "Landing pages".

To enable the purchase tracking, the affiliate must use the correct affiliate link and set up cookies for the potential customer.

This link replaces the affiliate cookie and overwrites old AffiliCon cookie information as well (last cookie wins):

https://www.affilibank.de/scripts/click.php?hop=affilicon&accountId=default1&data1=subid1&data2=subid2&desturl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.affilicon.net

Our cookies are valid indefinitely. They will be existing until deleted by the user.

Further information to the parameters:

ParameterExamples
hopaffilicon
accountIddefault1
desturlhttp://targetpage.com
data1subid1
data2subid2

Note for Affiliates

All parameters are generally “urlencoded”. This means that special characters need to be rewritten in a URL compatible way. This tool (please click) can be helpful.

Please find an example of the possible result by clicking the following link:

https://www.affilibank.de/scripts/click.php?hop=affilicon&accountId=default1&data1=subid1&data2=subid2&desturl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.affilicon.net

Note for Vendors

With this method the link to the cart widget can be permanently assigned to an affiliate.

Please be aware, that in this case all purchases are assigned to only one affiliate, even if they previously used a different affiliate cookie link to get to the checkout form!

On neutral sales pages the link to the cart widget must be opened neutrally, as you can see in this example:

https://secure.affilibank.de/demo-account-affilicon/index?product=13987

The parameter "accountId" (must be written with capital “i”) has to be set, as soon as it is differs from “default1”. The account ID of the vendor is mandatory in order to enable tracking.

The account ID is not identical with the account name of the vendor. Vendors can receive their account ID (e.g. a12b34c1) upon request from our technical support.
