Food Products or Nutritional Supplements with a Reduced VAT Rate

Can I sell food products or nutritional supplements with a reduced VAT rate of 7%?

Yes. With AffiliCon you can sell food products and nutritional supplements with a reduced value-added tax rate of 7% (for Germany).

Please provide us with a verification confirming that you are permitted to sell your product with a reduced value-added tax rate.

As a verification we accept an invoice from the producer of the products, a confirmation of tax office, a successful VAT examination report, or a customs tariff information for VAT purposes.

Example:

You buy food products from the manufacturer / supplier. You will be charged a VAT rate of 7% (respectively 10% in Austria).

In this case, you can sell this product with us at the reduced value-added tax rate of 7% as well.

How can I activate this function?

1. Obtain the verification confirming that you are allowed to sell food products with a reduced VAT rate of 7%.

2. Please send this confirmation to clients@affilicon.net. After successful revision, we will enable the function immediately for you.

3. Then, after logging in to your account at affilicon.net, create a new product in your administration area or choose an already existing product.

4. Select “Edit” and choose the category “Food reduced”:

5. So that your account can be belanced with 7% VAT in the commission statement, you must use the affiliate commission "Adjusted" in your account under "Edit product", regardless of whether you want to work with affiliates or not. The "slider" should no longer be used.

6. Click "Save".

7. Attention: If you are selling food supplements, please read and sign the declaration of exemption from liability.

Signing this declaration, you guarantee that all advertising materials and products of the food supplement are in full compliance with the existing legal

framework, especially the UWG (Act Against Unfair Competition) and the legislation on Therapeutic Products.

Please note that we cannot retroactively adjust the sales tax for products already sold at a non-reduced rate in the invoices for you and/or your customers. Therefore, do not start selling until you have been given access to the product category "Food reduced".
