Create a Subscription / Subscription Settings

AffiliCon offers subscriptions with different periodicities and durations. We automatically book the appropriate amount every period based upon a pre-authorized debit agreement with your customer.

To create a subscription, please do the following:

1. Log in to affilicon.net to create a new product in your administration area.

2. Choose "Products" in the blue "Menu" bar on the left side of you administration page.

3. Click "+ New" and choose "Subscription product" in the drop-down menu. This functions in a similar way as by a "Standard product". The specific characteristics will be explained in the following table.

The fields marked with a starlet (*) must be filled in. The others are optional.

Price and Affiliate Commission
Gross / Net price of the product*	Enter the price for the first payment.	Here you determine the first customer payment. This may differ from the regular turn-around subscription payments. For example, you can provide the customer with a special offer (e.g. "first payment 1 €, then monthly 19 €").
Affiliate Commission*	Select your affiliate commission.	The affiliate commission will be automatically forwarded to the respective affiliate per sale.
Recurring payments
Time intervals of subscription payments*	Choose time sequence for the customer payment.
Subscription Price*	Enter the price for the recurring payments.	Enter the price including VAT.
Affiliate Commission - Subscription*	Select your affiliate commission.	If the affiliate commissions differ during the regular turn-around payments, define the relevant commission here. The affiliate commission is then automatically forwarded to the respective affiliate per sale.
E-mail Address and Links

4. Click “Save”.

Attention: To create several similar subscriptions, use “Duplicate” in the subscription overview page.

Advanced settings

To adjust further information, use “Advanced settings”. All options are preset in the most common mode.

Confirmation E-mail
E-mail-Subject	Specify what your customers see in the sales notification as a subject.	Our standard subject is "Subscription purchase". In your e-mail it is extended with a purchase number (e. g. "Subscription purchase: 210062632 - VDD_Videoserie").
		Normally you can leave this field blank.
		However, you can choose your e-mail subject completely free.
Salesmail - Delivery / Download Instructions	In this field you can write a personal text to the customer. Describe the delivery type and any other indications.	This text is the content of the sales notification (e-mail after product purchase) to the customer.
		A text is already specified in the field. However, you can completely redesign the text according to your needs.
		Please note: Directly below this text, provide your customer with your customer support e-mail address.
Attach PDF invoice	Tick this box to attach an individual PDF invoice for each customer automatically to the sales mail.	The automatic PDF invoice is very convenient and simple and saves you a lot of work.
		If you would like to use an individual PDF invoice, you should first create it and save in your affilicon administration area.

Advanced Subscription Settings
Deviating affiliate for subscription payments	Please enter the affiliate name here.	Here you can differentiate again, whether the same affiliate as the first purchase or another affiliate should receive the recurring commission.
Number of subscriptions	Enter a number for the frequency of the subscriptions.	If your subscription is limited, you can specify how many services the customer receives. If the field is blank, the subscription has an unlimited runtime.
Language for the forms	Please select the language for the forms.	The default salutation is "German" with informal "Du"-salutation. You can also choose "German" with formal "Sie"-salutation.
		Some clients prefer to address their customers with "Du" (informal) and others with "Sie" (formal). You can use this field to make an individual setting for each of your products.

Subscription Upgrade

You can upgrade an existing subscription to a "higher" subscription.

Example:

Your customer has contracted a basic subscription for 19,90 €.
Now you can offer him a premium subscription with more benefits for 29,90 € per month (= upgrade).
In order to upgrade, simply send a link to your customer. With click on this link, your customer can upgrade to the higher subscription.

With our help you can upgrade existing subscriptions. This is enabled by our subscription API. We can do this for you.
