Create a Coupon

Offer coupons with various discount schemes to your customers. This gives your customers an extra incentive to buy!

Basic Functions

1. Log in to affilicon.net, select the respective product in the administration area, choose "Edit" → “Extended Settings” and enable coupons. Save the result.

2. In the blue "Menu" bar on the left side of the administration area select “% Coupons” → “+ New” and create a new coupon.

3. Enter the title of the coupon and the desired coupon code.

4. In “Assign Products” select amongst available products for which this coupon shall be applied. By clicking on the right arrow, these products will be transferred from the box "Available products" to the box “Selected products”.

5. Enter the value of the coupon, its charges and time limit.

Countdown Functionality

Under “Time limit” you can set up a countdown, using the button “Enable Countdown”. As soon as your customer enters the coupon code into the order form, a countdown will be activated (see screenshot).

The note “The redeemed coupon expires in xx:xx:xx hours” will appear. The countdown will count down from your determined time until 00:00 minutes.

Other Functionalities

You can also include an activated coupon in your order form by attaching the parameter “gs_code=XXX” (XXX = The title of your coupon) to the link of your order form. After that it will not be necessary anymore for the end customer to enter the coupon in the order form.

The advantage is, that you will receive fewer customer inquiries by customers who have forgotten to redeem the coupon code in the order form.

Artificial Shortage

With artificial shortages you generate an additional purchase incentive. Limit the number of uses (e.g., "The first 50 customers receive 10 € discount") or define an expiration date (e.g., "This voucher expires on 31.05.2017").

In this example, we reduced the number of uses to 50 and defined an expiration date (red-bordered):

Coupon type	Description
Single coupon	Single coupon is valid for exactly one product in the cart widget, but can be assigned to multiple products in the administration area. The coupon is automatically redeemed in the shopping cart (best-price-combination) for the product with the highest discount. The end customer will receive the best possible deal, which should reduce your support requests. Example: You order three different products ("Marketing Coaching" 200 €, "Premium XL" 400 € and "Premium XXL" 600 €). The single coupon with 50% discount is valid for all products. According to the "Best Price Combination", the product with the highest discount is granted the discount. In this case it would be the "Premium XXL product" from 600 € to 300 €.
Multi coupon	The Multi coupon applies to all products with the same coupon code in the cart widget. You can assign the code to specific products. This allows you to decide, which products are affected to your coupon action. Can be redeemed only once per cart. Example: You are about o start a Christmas deal. "Christmas" coupons should apply only to certain products. Include or exclude certain products to the coupon deal. Simply drag the products for your Christmas deal into the "Selected products" box (See screenshot). The coupon is not activated for the "Available products" on the left side. The coupon is activated for the "Selected products" on the right side.
Cart widget coupon	The coupon code is valid for all products selected into the cart widget. The voucher can be redeemed directly in the widget cart, so that the discount is deducted from the total amount accordingly. Example: Three products shall be ordered (Premium XL, Premium XXL and Marketing Coaching) and all added to the cart. Now the cart widget coupon can be added into the field "Coupon Code" and get a discount on your entire shopping cart. In this example (see screenshot) it would be a 10% discount and a total discounted amount of 120 €.
